Reach Amsterdam city centre from the terminal in a convenient way from as little as £9.00 per person, each way. The bus will depart the terminal shortly after the ferry arrives and will drop you off and pick up at De Ruijterkade 153 (behind Central Station and right next to the Viking river cruise entry). The bus is marked 'DFDS' and the travel time is typically 30 minutes. Please buy your ticket prior to your journey, to do this either call us or buy online when you book. You can also log in to My bookings and add a bus transfer there. Please note: You should only take as much luggage as you can carry yourself.

If you are traveling with DFDS via Karlshamn, public transportation runs between Karlshamn Port (Stilleryd) and the city center, as well as throughout the Blekinge region.

Buses from Karlshamn Port

Karlshamn Port is served by local “Blekingetrafiken” buses. Main connections for ferry passengers:

• Bus line 5 – connects Stilleryd Port with Karlshamn Resecentrum (city center and train station)
• This route provides easy and reliable access for pedestrians traveling to or from the ferry.

• Buses run several times a day, focusing on the most popular travel times.
• Schedules vary seasonally (may differ between summer and winter periods)
• Travel time: approximately 15–20 minutes.

If you are heading to the DFDS ferry in Karlshamn, public buses run regularly from the city center to Stilleryd Harbor.

Buses to Karlshamn Port

• Bus Line 5 – connects Karlshamn Resecentrum (city center and train station) with Stilleryd Port
• This is a convenient and direct connection for ferry passengers.

Bus service between Karlshamn Port (Stilleryd) and the city center is provided by Blekingetrafiken.

Please note that bus tickets are not included in your DFDS reservation and must be purchased separately.

Purchasing Tickets

• Tickets can be purchased via the Blekingetrafiken app—this is the easiest and most convenient way
• Tickets can also be purchased at some ticket machines or paid for contactlessly on the bus for single trips

Prices Ticket prices are based on a zone system, with tickets for a single zone starting at 32 SEK.

Please have a valid ticket before boarding (when requested) and be prepared to present it during the trip.
