DFDS announces new Managing Director in Sweden

We are very pleased to announce that, Morgan Olausson will be new Managing Director of DFDS Seaways AB in Sweden. It would have been difficult to find someone better qualified for this important task than Morgan Olausson who comes to DFDS from a position as Director LTL/FTL Management North West Europe at Kuehne + Nagel, a supplier of logistics services and a customer of DFDS.
He came to Kuehne + Nagel in 2005 and held different management positions such as Director Business Development and Director Overland Scandinavia until he was appointed Director FTL/LTL Management North West Europe in 2009. Along with his deep insight in the logistics and supply chain business, he brings with him valuable experience from our own industry where he was Norfolkline's Director Scandinavian Division from 2001-2005.

New rail service between Belgium and France
Belgium's Lineas and DFDS are joining forces to transport containers and trailers from the port of Gothenburg via Ghent at North Sea Port on rail to Lyon - and vice versa. It will create a connection between Sweden, Belgium, and France.

Electric trucks put DFDS on the road to sustainable supply chains in Sweden
Today, 3 March 2023, DFDS launches a new fleet of 20 electric trucks in Gothenburg, Sweden. The fleet in Gothenburg, which will grow with an additional 30 electric trucks, forms a significant portion of the 125 electric Volvo trucks which DFDS expects to be in service by the end of 2023. The introduction of electric trucks is an important step in the company’s transition towards greener transport solutions.
