We keep Europe moving

Since 1866, DFDS has enabled trade and travel by offering freight and passenger transport services. We operate a unique and extensive network that combines ferry, road and rail transport with complementary logistics solutions, connecting European countries with each other, as well as with Türkiye and North Africa.

We primarily transport trailer freight units on our ferries. We also carry 5,25 million passengers every year. Our logistics services range from end-to-end transports of full-loads to complex solutions for large industrial customers.

DFDS acquires RoPax ferry Stena Vinga

Published: 7 May 2026 - DFDS strengthens its fleet by acquiring the passenger and freight ferry Stena Vinga. Stena Vinga is currently chartered by DFDS and will continue to operate on the Jersey service.

Published: 1 April 2026 - From mid-September, DFDS will significantly strengthen freight and passenger services on the Karlshamm-Klaipeda route with the introduction of newly chartered vessel Ciudad de Valencia.

DFDS expands capacity on Rosslare–Dunkirk Route with third vessel

Published: 31 March 2026 - From September, DFDS will offer seven weekly round-trips on the Rosslare-Dunkirk route by adding a third vessel to the route to provide increased capacity for freight operators and more travel options for passengers during the holiday season.

DFDS extends space charter agreement with CLdN

Published: 17 December 2025 - DFDS and CLdN have agreed to extend their space charter agreement on the Zeebrugge-Gothenburg route for an additional five years, while increasing freight capacity.

DFDS expand services on Baltic ferry routes

Published: 26 August 2025 - DFDS and TT Line have entered into a space charter agreement on three ferry routes in the Baltic Sea. With the agreement, DFDS will increase the number of sailings offered between Klaipeda and Karlshamn, as well as bring new services to Trelleborg and Travemünde.

Esbjerg–UK route celebrates 150 years of maritime connection

Published: 24 June 2025 - DFDS marks the 150th anniversary of the iconic Esbjerg–UK route, a vital freight corridor that has connected Denmark and the United Kingdom since the inaugural voyage in 1875.
